Our client, a U.S.-based venture capital fund is seeking a CPA-qualified Bookkeeping Associate to join the finance team. This role will maintain accurate accounting records, support fund reporting, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and fund accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping for the fund and management company.
- Record journal entries, reconcile accounts, and manage AP/AR.
- Support preparation of quarterly/annual financial statements.
- Assist with capital calls, distributions, and portfolio company investment tracking.
- Coordinate with auditors, administrators, and tax advisors.
- Monitor compliance with GAAP and fund accounting best practices.
- Support investor relations with data requests and reporting.
Qualifications
- Active CPA license.
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally in venture capital, private equity, or fund audit.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
- Strong Excel skills.
- Knowledge of LP/GP accounting and fund structures preferred.
